Les mando a todos un saludo afectuoso y mis deseos de que estén llevando esta cuarentena de la mejor manera posible.

Aquí están algunos ejercicios para cerrar la unidad 5. No olviden que pueden escribirme por cualquier consulta... inclusive podemos pactar un horario y hacer una video-llamada o una llamada para que pueda ayudarlos con cualquier duda o consulta que tengan. También pueden enviarme la tarea para corregirla, aunque igual vamos a corregir todo cuando nos reencontremos en clase.



Today we work with the WORKbook in pages 26 and 27.

1- Encontrar 11 palabras (partes del cuerpo) y luego escribirlas en la tabla debajo.
2- Vincular las imágenes con las oraciones.
3 - Siguiendo las instrucciones en las oraciones, escribir los números y letras (seguir el ejemplo!).

4 - Después de leer la carta, vincular las imágenes con los nombres.
5 - Leer nuevamente la carta y contestar "yes" o "no".
6 - Contestarlas preguntas con información personal.

Pronouns and determiners

1. GRAMMAR: Antes de continuar con el libro vamos a ver un poco de gramática.

PRONOUNS: Este tema NO esta en el libro pero quiero asegurarme de que quede claro.

→Los pronombres se utilizan cuando deseo reemplazar un sustantivo. 

Por ejemplo: 

My sister is Magali. SHE is my sister. ("She" reemplaza a "Magali")

Sergio is my friend. HE is my friend. ("He reemplaza a "Sergio")

Los pronombres en ingles son los siguientes. (Copialos en tu cuaderno)

It (eso cosas/animales)

You (ustedes)

We (nosotros

They (ellos)

*BE CAREFUL: en el ejercicio c,  Mary and Jhon, hace referencia a "ellos". En el ejercico e, My mother and I (Mi madre y yo) es decir "nosotros".

Bien, ahora que vimos pronombres podemos continuar con el siguiente tema:

DETERMINERS: Open your books, page 15.

En el libro aparece solo una parte de los determinadores, yo les daré todos juntos. 

Determiners o possessive adjectives: Utilizamos los determinadores/ adjetivos posesivos para hacer referencia a posesiones (cosas que poseemos/tenemos). Tengan en cuenta que estos son adjetivos, por ende siempre van acompañados de un sustantivo.

Por ejemplo, "My car is green". Mi auto es verde. 

My car = adjetivo + sustantivo

El adjetivo posesivo, indica posesión. Entonces.... ¿De quién es el auto?  ...Mio

Los adjetivos posesivos son:

En la primera columna les pondré los pronombres y en la segunda los adjetivos personales para que sepan a quién hace referencia el adjetivo. Es decir, quien posee cada cosa...

Copialos en tu cuaderno

Ejemplos:

I = My (mi) → Por ej, My car is blue. Yo poseo el auto (I)

You = Your (tu) → Your sister is Mariela.

He = His (su, para hombre) → His mother is tall. (la madre de quien es alta? ...De él.

She = Her (su, para mujer) → Her book is green.

It = Its  (su, para cosas y animales) → its tail is brown. (su cola es marrón, haciendo referencia a un perro)

You = Your (sus) → your pencils are new.  

We = Our (nuestros/as) → Our class is big.

They = Their (sus) → Their house is blue.

**Recuerden que los pronombres se refieren a PERSONAS y los adjetivos posesivos se refieren a POSESIONES de esas personas.

Se usan tanto con sustantivos contables e incontables. Por ejemplo:

• There are some eggs in the basket. (Hay algunas naranjas en la canasta) [affirmative sentence]
• There aren’t any eggs in the basket. (No hay ningunas naranjas en la canasta) [negative sentences]
• Are there any eggs in the basket? (¿Hay algunas naranjas en la canasta?) [interrogative sentence]
• There is some water in the bottle. (Hay algo de agua en la botella) [affirmative sentence]
• There isn’t any water in the bottle. (No hay nada de agua en la botella) [negative sentence]
